The Division Of The Cell -An Introduction-

All cells of an organism are derived from successive divisions of the zygote. The zygote divides many times. The number of cells is multiplied. The divisions of mitosis transmit to the daughter cells the whole genetic program carried by the chromosomes. The cell undergoes 5 phases of division: interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. The period between 2 divisions is called interphase. By undergoing successive divisions the zygote forms all the cells of an organism.
How Do the Chromosomes behave during cellular division?
How is the conservation of genetic information maintained?
How Are Chromosomes reproduced?
